Job Description

Nuclear Waste Services has an exciting new opportunity for a IMS Transformation Lead to be part of The IMS Transformation and wider Quality and PMO team within the Integrated Management System Delivery Area of NWS.

As part of this role, you will be accountable for the transformation of all current IMS's parts in scope towards the interim and single Integrated IMS structure as part of the NWS Transformation Programme. (IMS Delivery Area)

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Attendance to weekly progress meetings, with additional attendance to all relevant meetings regarding the IMS delivery area.
  • Lead and manage the technical development and roll out of the Final IMS Solution.
  • Manage the implementation of the Business' long-range strategic transformation initiatives across the transformation programme.
  • Coordination with the delivery area PM to progress relevant aspects of scope in line with the IMS programme.
  • Coordination with Stakeholders; communication, promotion, and management of strategic changes.
  • Implementation of risk mitigation strategies and actions in line with the IMS delivery area risk register.
  • Manages the coordination of the technical execution of the transition plan for all IMS areas in scope.
  • Proactive planning and implementation of IMS Transformation strategic initiatives.
  • Lead projects within the delivery area for the transformation of the IMS toward the single integrated IMS structure.
  • Recognized by business leadership as a key technical management resource to the business's timely transformation programme activities
  • Responsible for working with the transformation the team and enabling facilitation of meetings that involve eliciting process requirements, gathering business requirements, liaising with users of all skill levels.
  • Act as a liaison between the technical teams, IMS stakeholders and delivery area PM to communicate changes for updates/creation and deployment.
  • Provide ongoing support for deployments and development of solutions to overcome deployment challenge's
  • Lead projects to sustain a compliant, effective, and lean IMS structure
  • Accountable for transformation-related strategic initiatives supporting the integrated IMS structure
  • Ensures the deployment is in line with the evolution of the integrated IMS supporting simplification and standardisation.
  • Accountable for key performance indicators.
  • Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Experience Required
  • Experience in meeting facilitation practices.
  • Solid Analytical skills - demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot complex process/system issues.
  • Experience in corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis, documenting findings/actions, and implementing actions.
  • Proven analytical capabilities
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Successful experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple work locations
  • Network oriented and able to interact with different business functions and can work within numerous systems
  • Work cooperatively in a team environment
