Job Description

Nuclear Waste Services has a vacancy for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join its busy Reporting and Data team on a 12 month fixed term contract/secondment.

As part of this role, you will coordinate and manage the accurate and timely collection, analysis, and reporting of commercial data and management information across the full range of NWS’s commercial activities to support our Commercial Senior Leadership Team and the NWS Executive

This busy and varied role will require -advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and analysis coupled with general support duties including regular contact with both internal and external stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Analysis, insight and reporting that informs key commercial decisions across NWS.
  • Facilitation of systems and tools to capture and maintain accurate, available, and secure commercial information. Maintain an awareness and understanding of internal and external commercial reporting expectations, risk appetite, and NWS’s business priorities and decisions so as to ensure that the sources of data remain useful and fit for purpose
  • Monitor data integrity in the commercial systems, and swiftly handling the resolution of critical or easily resolvable issues
  • Develop our reporting capabilities, particularly in the development of commercial dashboards.
  • Supporting commercial systems functionality and scope such as pipeline management, contract register and supplier intelligence.
  • Develops and maintains a robust framework of good governance and commercial control.
Experience Required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a challenging workload of competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint including advanced analysis with Pivot tables.
  • Ability to quickly learn and work with new systems and processes.
  • Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence others
  • Able to understand, explain and apply NWS’s procurement processes with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Previous experience of working in an analytical role
  • Experience working in a procurement or commercial team is desirable
