Job Description

Nuclear Waste Services has a vacancy for a Senior Contract Management Lead to join its busy team flexible working across the NWS estate.

As part of this role, you will ensure the effective management of NWS’s contracts and suppliers through:

  • the utilization of a commercial contract management team balancing risk and resource availability in the NWS portfolio.
  • building capabilities, processes and procedures across the organisation to ensure contracts are effectively managed within NWS.
Roles and Responsibilities
The role will report into the Commercial Director within the Commercial Team who will maintain line management responsibility including objective setting and personal development. The postholder will undertake line management responsibility structuring direct reports as required across the NWS office locations. NWS operates a matrix structure, and the post holder shall structure the Contract Management Team to compliment this approach.
Experience Required

Essential

  • Member of CIPS, RICS or equivalent professional body
  • Extensive commercial experience at a similar level
  • Experience within a regulated industry
  • Experience of managing a high-performing team
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial contracts
  • Familiarity with developing SRM programmes
  • Experience of developing systems to support contract management, e.g., KPI performance, spend, etc
  • Experience in managing dispute resolution 
  • A good working knowledge of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015
