Nuclear Waste Services has a vacancy for a Senior Service Delivery Coordinator to join its busy team, flexible working from our Cumbria office.

As part of this role, you will provide Leadership and oversight to the Service Delivery Team and be the primary point of contact for suppliers liaising with consigning organisations for delivery of activities detailed within the Service Delivery Process.

You will also lead and support the delivery following project handover of all activities for consignment and logistics for all service requirements. And assist and influence in the development of service strategy and improvements.

Prioritisation of team work on a daily / weekly basis and support the Service lead in the production of the Service portfolios/dashboards/reports.

Where appropriate, you will also deputise for the Service Lead.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct start-up/handover meetings with the Customer Team and ensure all outstanding activities are completed.
  • Engage with customers to implement their service requirements and interact with the supply chain to ensure they provide the necessary services in a safe and cost-effective manner in accordance with any performance measures stipulated in the contract.
  • Provide technical advice and support to internal and external customers on the suitability/selection of waste management service.
  • Manage, measure, and improve supplier relations.
  • Develop and sustain collaborative working relationship with all stakeholders including Customers, waste service providers, and internal staff.
  • Attend and present at meetings / conferences / exhibitions as required.
  • Provide technical oversight to the team for consignment schedules to ensure they are realistic and deliverable against customer expectations with the resources available.
  • Manage delivery schedules and communications with Service Providers
  • Lead Auditor/ audit team member as required to support WMS and the wider NWS business activities
  • Deliver training and produce training material for internal / external customers and suppliers
  • Chair Operational Service/Supplier meetings
  • Project manage the delivery of each waste consignment in line with NWS processes and standards
  • Ensure the waste consignment and receipt sections of the Service Delivery process for all services are completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate additional structured liaison and/or governance arrangements as appropriate to aid programme delivery with consigning organisations
  • Support the delivery of logistics services utilising the web-based Logistics Management System, eLogistics
  • Ensure coordination of consignments and collections by liaising with stakeholders and updating relevant management systems e.g. CRM / eLogistics
  • Manage risks associated with the delivery of projects under all services.
  • Support the production of service delivery reporting arrangements including dashboards and marketing documentation etc.
  • Support data input activities for delivery of KPI’s
  • Influence and Initiate improvements and changes to the Service Delivery process.
  • To champion company’s Standards and Expectations
  • Manage the risks within your scope of work in compliance with the company risk management procedures.
  • Comply with RSP 12.16 Information Risk Management, with respect to information assets
  • To be fully aware of the environmental responsibilities associated with the role
Experience Required
  • Graduate (min 2:2) in a relevant discipline or equivalent, possession of appropriate professional qualification, and or relevant experience
  • Accredited to a relevant professional body where required
  • Wide knowledge of procedures and methods relevant to the field together with a full understanding of underlying principles
