Job Description

Nuclear Waste Services has a vacancy for a Service Delivery Technician to join its busy team, flexible working from our Cumbria office.

As part of this role, you will administer all aspects of the Service Delivery Process.

This role primary involves, influencing and supporting development of customer waste consignment submissions to ensure they are of a quality standard and meet all requirements of the Waste Acceptance Process, including reconciliation, approval, receipt, and disposition. There will also be a requirement to provide support across all Service Delivery Teams as deemed necessary.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the completion of the WEN Handover checklist by progress chasing all prerequisite documentation and updating status
  • Support the arrangement of Departmental meetings, including taking and issuing of minutes
  • Support the coordination of consignments and collections by liaising with stakeholders and updating relevant management systems e.g., CRM / eLogistics
  • Manage delivery schedules and communications with service providers (Approvals and Cancellations)
  • Manage the registration of traffic through the consignment inbox onto CRM
  • Support the production of service delivery reporting arrangements including dashboards and marketing documentation etc.
  • Support data input activities for delivery of KPI’s
  • Support the coordinated system for notification of rail movements in and out of the Repository site for full or empty containers
  • Initiate and/or support improvements and changes to the Service Delivery process
  • To be aware of and abide by the company’s Standards and Expectations
  • Support internal and external audits where applicable in accordance with company’s ESH&Q processes.
  • Manage the risks within your scope of work in compliance with the company risk management procedures.
  • Comply with RSP 12.16 Information Risk Management, with respect to information assets
  • To be fully aware of the environmental responsibilities associated with the role
Experience Required
  • Good general standard of education, preferably to A Level.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of standard office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc).
